Job summary

Offroad Grit RV, based in Caboolture, seeks a skilled Boilermaker/Fabricator to build chassis, frames and components for rugged off-road caravans. You will supervise an apprentice, set high standards, and contribute to a busy fabrication shed.

You’ll perform MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminium, interpret drawings, and maintain a safe, organized workflow while delivering quality workmanship across varied builds.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified: Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker) or equivalent.
• Proven MIG and TIG skills on steel and aluminium.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Self-motivated, organized and able to work without micromanagement.
• Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Patient and willing to train the next generation.
• Experience in caravan, trailer, RV or automotive fabrication is a bonus but not essential.

About us
Offroad Grit RV is a Caboolture-based manufacturer building tough, custom off-road caravans designed for real Australian conditions. Every van is built in-house, and we take pride in quality work that goes the distance. We’re growing, and we need a skilled boilermaker to help run our fabrication shed.

The role
You’ll be the go-to tradesperson in our fab shed, building chassis, frames and components for our van builds. You’ll also be working alongside and guiding our apprentice, so you’ll need to lead by example, pass on good habits and keep the work moving.

What you’ll be doing

• MIG and TIG welding in both steel and aluminium
