Zusammenfassung

MacKellar Group is seeking experienced HME Boilermakers to join our maintenance team on a long-term mining project near Nyngan, NSW. You will fabricate, weld and repair heavy mining equipment, ensuring safety and reliability across the fleet.

We offer a 7/7 rotating roster, FIFO from Brisbane, accommodation and meals, and a stable long-term role with ongoing opportunities. A recognised Boilermaker trade qualification and mining experience are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Proven skills in structural repairs, fabrication and welding
• Experience with bucket, tray and wear package repairs
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Current Australian driver's licence

Aufgaben

• Carry out fabrication, welding and structural repairs on heavy mining equipment
• Repair buckets, trays and wear packages
• Perform welding, air arc gouging and other hot work
• Identify cracks, assess damage and complete quality repairs
• Support planned maintenance, shutdowns and component rebuilds
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required

About the role

You'll carry out fabrication, welding and structural repairs across a range of heavy mobile mining equipment, helping keep our fleet safe, reliable and operating efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing structural repairs and fabrication on heavy mining equipment
• Repairing buckets, trays, wear packages and HME components
• Performing welding, air arc gouging and other hot work
• Identifying cracks, assessing damage and completing quality repairs
• Supporting planned maintenance, shutdowns and component rebuilds
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
• Working safely at heights and in confined spaces when required

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll bring strong trade skills and practical experience working on heavy mobile equipment in a mining or heavy earthmoving environment.

You'll also have:

• A recognised Boilermaker trade qualification
• Previous HME or heavy mining equipment experience
• Proven skills in structural repairs, fabrication and welding
• Experience with bucket, tray and wear package repairs
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
