Job summary

Kings Engineering, part of The Bloomfield Group, invites experienced Boilermakers to join a high-performing team in Rutherford, NSW. Casual opportunities offer competitive hourly rates with 25% casual loading and additional site rates.

Responsibilities include safe fabrication, maintenance and breakdown support on mobile and fixed plant across underground and open-cut mining environments. NSW Driver’s licence and relevant tickets are required.

Qualifications

• Fabrication trade qualification with 3+ years post-trade experience in heavy industry/mining.
• High Risk WorkCover tickets: forklift, work platform, and heights.
• MDG25 guidelines for safe cutting/welding in mines.
• Welding certifications to AS1796.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and perform oxy/plasma cutting, grinding and gouging.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality fabrication services to customers with high efficiency.
• Meet targets with safety as a priority.
• Provide maintenance/breakdown support on mobile and fixed plant.
• Support underground and open-cut equipment maintenance and fabrication.
• Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care.

Job description

Kings Engineering is looking for skilled and experienced Boilermakers to join our high-performing team. Multiple casual opportunities are available for candidates seeking rewarding work within a respected and industry-leading organisation.

The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing high quality and timely maintenance service to a wide spectrum of engineering services including mining, transport, construction, rail, and manufacturing industries. The role may involve the operation, maintenance, or repair of surface mining equipment and fixed equipment and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality, effective, and efficientfabrication services to customers


• Meet requiredtargetswith safety as the priority


• Provide maintenance and breakdown support on mobile and fixed plant


• Provide repair and fabrication maintenance support on underground and open-cut mobile equipment and fixed plant


• Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care


• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices relevant to the mining industry and a commitment to zero harm


• Fabrication trade qualifications in addition to extensive experience within a heavy industrial or mining related environment, ideally 3 years plus post trade


• Ability to effectively communicate within and between work teams, demonstrating positive interpersonal skills


• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and perform marking, cutting out using oxy and plasma cutter, grinding and gouging


• Ability to demonstrate previous experience welding in all positions, using flux cored wire – MIG and Stick experience


• High Risk WorkCover tickets required for role include forklift, work platform and working at heights


• Current valid NSW Driver's Licence


• High Risk WorkCover tickets such as C6 Crane (60T), Dogging, and Basic Rigging


• MDG25 Guideline for safe cutting and welding at mines


• Relevant Welding Certifications to AS1796
