Job summary

Workfast is seeking a trade-qualified Boilermaker for an immediate start on a major heavy industrial project in Port Kembla, NSW. This full-time role offers site hours through to late November 2026, with potential extension based on project performance.

Requirements include Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Boilermaking), White Card, SMAW/FCAW weld testing, and compliance with site safety and drug/alcohol policies. On-site roster features weekdays and overtime.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Boilermaking).
• White Card: Construction Induction Card.
• Weld Test: pass SMAW weld test prior to start; FCAW to ISO 9606 preferred.
• Working at Heights: valid ticket.
• Site Compliance: pass pre-employment and random on-site Drug & Alcohol screening.
• High Risk Work License (LF, WP, DG, etc.).

Pay & Benefits

• Base Rate: $58.00 per hour + penalties + superannuation
• Generous overtime penalties applicable on extended weekday and weekend shifts

Roster & Hours

• Monday – Friday: 6:30am – 5:0o
• Saturday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Shift: Day shift with regular overtime hours available

Key Requirements

• Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Boilermaking).
• White Card: Construction Induction Card.
• Weld Test: Ability to pass a stick (SMAW) weld test prior to start (required). Ability to pass flux-core (FCAW) to ISO 9606.1 standard is preferred.
• Working at Heights: Valid ticket required.
• Site Compliance: Must be able to pass pre-employment and random on-site Drug & Alcohol screening.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• High Risk Work License (LF, WP, DG, etc.).
• Proven background working in heavy industry, mining, or oil & gas environments.
