Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking a trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder for a workshop-based role in Berkeley Vale, NSW. The position offers $53.79 per hour plus penalties and an immediate start. Overtime is available, with a Monday-Thursday 6:00am-2:30pm and Friday 6:00am-12:00pm roster.

You will fabricate, weld, read drawings, and ensure quality on time. Applicants must hold a NSW civil/boilermaker trade qualification and a current NSW driver’s licence; forklift ticket is desirable.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Boilermaker/Welder.
• Current NSW driver’s licence is mandatory.
• MIG/FCAW welding experience desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and weld 310mm steel components per drawings and instructions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Perform MIG and FCAW welding.
• Mark, cut, grind, fit and assemble components.
• Safely operate workshop equipment and maintain clean work area.
• Complete weld preparation and finishing to meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy.
• Meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Assist with material handling and movement.

Our client is a leading provider of wear-resistant solutions, specialising in protecting heavy-duty equipment from wear and impact.

Roster & Hours

Monday Thursday: 6:00am 2:30pm

Friday: 6:00am 12:00pm

Overtime available

What you will be doing:

• Fabricate, assemble and weld 310mm steel components, including bends, reducers and chutes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
• Perform MIG and FCAW welding
• Mark, cut, grind, fit and assemble components
• Safely operate workshop equipment
• Complete weld preparation and finishing
• Work closely with tilers and liners
• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy
• Meet production schedules and deadlines
• Assist with material handling and movement

What you will need:

• Trade qualified Boilermaker/ Welder
• Strong Fabrication Skills
• Current NSW Drivers Licence (mandatory)
• Forklift ticket (desirable)
