Job summary

Straight Up Metal Services is seeking skilled fabricators for architectural steel works, including balustrades, stainless handrails, perforated sheets and structural projects in Melbourne. The position starts casual with potential to move to long-term full-time for the right candidate.

Work includes both factory and on-site tasks, with emphasis on safety, a healthy work environment, and opportunities for overtime, travel allowances and RDOs.

Qualifications

• Qualified fabricator, boilermaker or sheetmetal tradesperson.
• Excellent Mig, Tig and arc welding abilities.
• Able to read workshop drawings.
• Stainless Steel polishing and finishing.
• Aluminium welding tig/mig.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• EWP/Riggers/Boom lift/Forklift/Working at heights are all highly advantageous but not required.
• White card required
• Working With Children\'s check required
• Own transport

Fabricator / Boilermaker / Sheet Metal Worker

Straight Up Metal Services are seeking fabricators with experience in architectural steel works including balustrade, stainless steel handrail, perforated sheeting, aluminium, brake press and structural works.

Role would be casual with the opportunity for long term full time for the right candidate, well above award wages on offer including RDO's, travel allowances and overtime. The role includes both factory and site works. We place a high importance on ensuring all sites are safe/clean and our staff are physically and mentally healthy.

Requirements

• Qualified fabricator, boilermaker or sheetmetal tradesperson
• Excellent Mig, tig and arc welding abilities
• Able to read workshop drawings
• Stainless Steel polishing and finishing
• Aluminium welding tig/mig
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to establish a good working relationship with fellow employees and on site personal.
• EWP/Riggers/Boom lift/Forklift/Working at heights are all highly advantageous but not required
