Job summary

Downer’s Energy & Utilities division is seeking Boilermakers for a FIFO shutdown in Port Hedland, WA. Casual ongoing work with 12-hour day and night shifts as part of our shutdown circuit team.

Initial scope includes inspections, maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment such as dust and diesel systems, chutes & liners, and conveyor rollers. Ideal candidates have a White Card, recent Gas Test Atmospheres certification, Working at Heights, and Confined Spaces training within the last 5

Qualifications

• Construction Induction / White Card.
• Gas Test Atmospheres, Working at Heights, and Enter and Work in Confined Spaces within 5 years.
• Fire Certificate within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform boilermaker duties during shutdowns, inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Work as part of the shutdown circuit team across Port Hedland region.
• Assist in routine inspections and equipment servicing on dust and diesel systems, chutes and liners, and conveyor rollers.

The Opportunity Downer's Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for Boilermaker's to join us for a shutdown in Port Hedland, WA. The initial work scope includes routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of a variety of equipment types such as dust and diesel systems, chutes & liners, and conveyor rollers. This is an opportunity to join our casual ongoing Shutdown Circuit Team, providing access to a pipeline of future shutdowns and maintenance works across remote and regional WA. Successful candidates will be considered for ongoing project opportunities as part of our established workforce.

About You

• Construction Induction / White Card
• Gas Test Atmospheres, Working at Heights, and Enter and Work in Confined Spaces within 5 years
• Fire Certificate within 5 years
• MSIC - Highly desirable
• Prior experience in a FIFO role performing Boilermaker duties
