Job summary

Downer's Energy & Utilities is seeking a Boilermaker for Barrow Island, WA, to join the team on a casual FIFO basis. You will fabricate, weld, assemble and maintain structural steel, piping, plate work and fixed plant components, contributing to the Butler Park Corrosion Project.

This role is casual, from November to January, with a 12-hour day FIFO roster and flights from Perth. A strong safety and quality focus is essential in this tight-knit team environment.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate III in Fabrication Trade.
• WA Drivers Licence.
• White Card / Construction Induction.
• Working at Heights (completed within last 2 years).
• Ability to pass 2G & 3G weld tests.
• Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment.
• Proven experience in fabrication, welding, and structural steel works.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install structural steel components.
• Fabricate, install, repair and maintain piping and plate work.
• Work on fixed plant components on Barrow Island.
• Maintain high safety, quality and productivity standards.

The Opportunity

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of structural steel, piping, plate work, and fixed plant components. This is a casual ongoing position from November to January, joining our team on the Butler Park Corrosion Project delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
