National Workforce is partnering with a respected precast concrete manufacturer in Rutherford to recruit a Trade Qualified Boilermaker. This hands-on workshop role focuses on fabrication and maintenance of heavy steel moulds for concrete products.

Starting as a labour hire with a clear pathway to permanent employment for reliable, quality-focused workers. The role requires reading blueprints, MIG welding, and adherence to safety standards in a well-equipped Rutherford workshop.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Boilermaker with Australian certification.
• Experience in heavy steel fabrication, preferably precast moulds.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and plans.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and modify steel moulds to exact specs.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings.
• Perform MIG welding, cutting and grinding on heavy gauge steel.
• Conduct quality checks on finished moulds to ensure strength under high pressures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and comply with site safety protocols.

The Opportunity

National Workforce is partnering with a highly respected precast concrete manufacturer based in Rutherford to source a Trade Qualified Boilermaker. This is a hands-on, fast-paced workshop role focused on the fabrication and maintenance of heavy steel moulds used for precast concrete products.

This position starts as a labour hire arrangement but offers a genuine, structured pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate who demonstrates reliability and high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital part of the fabrication team, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Fabricating, assembling, and modifying custom steel moulds to exact specifications for concrete pouring.

• Reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.

• Performing high-quality MIG welding, cutting, and grinding on heavy gauge steel.

• Conducting quality checks on finished moulds to ensure they can withstand high casting pressures.

• Maintaining a clean workspace and strictly adhering to all site health and safety protocols.

What You Need to Succeed

To hit the ground running in this workshop, you will need:

• A relevant Australian Trade Qualification (Boilermaking, Heavy Fabrication, or similar).

• Proven experience in heavy steel fabrication (prior experience with precast moulds is highly advantageous).

• High proficiency in MIG welding and the ability to work independently from detailed plans.

• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Reliable transport to commute to the Rutherford workshop.
