Job summary

TRS Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Trade Qualified Boilermaker for a permanent full-time opportunity in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. The role focuses on heavy fabrication of structural and heavy-gauge steel with MIG welding to high standards.

You will read and interpret engineering drawings, set out fabrication work and work both independently and as part of a team, with a day shift and overtime opportunities.

Boilermaker – Heavy Fabrication Permanent Full-Time | Western Suburbs Melbourne | Day Shift

TRS Resourcing is currently recruiting a Trade Qualified Boilermaker for a permanent full-time opportunity with an established Australian engineering and manufacturing business in Melbourne's Western Suburbs.

This position will suit an experienced Boilermaker who enjoys heavy fabrication and is confident working with structural, industrial and heavy-gauge steel.

This is a direct permanent position with our client, offering long-term job security, consistent hours and overtime opportunities.

The Role

• Heavy fabrication and welding of structural and heavy-gauge steel


• Setting out and fabrication from engineering drawings


• MIG welding to a high standard


• Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling fabricated components


• Interpreting workshop and engineering drawings


• Completing work accurately and within production requirements


• Working independently as well as part of a fabrication team

Hours & Employment

• Permanent Full-Time


• Day Shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm


• 38-hour standard week


• Regular overtime opportunities


• Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs


• Competitive permanent hourly rate + Super + Overtime

What We're Looking For

• Australian-recognised Boilermaker/Fabrication Trade Qualification


• Demonstrated heavy fabrication experience


• Strong MIG welding skills


• Experience working with structural and heavy-gauge steel


• Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings


• Good mechanical aptitude


• Ability to set out fabrication work accurately


• Ability to prioritise tasks and work unsupervised when required


• Full Australian working rights
