Job summary

Vault Minerals is seeking a Boilermaker to join our well‑established maintenance team in Western Australia. You will perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on processing plant equipment, with on‑site fabrication of chutes and structural components.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from surrounding areas, and contribute to safe operations and project tasks with a strong focus on drawings and welding fabrication.

Qualifications

• Mine site maintenance experience and trade qualification.
• Experience with Pronto maintenance systems.
• Boilermaking in mineral processing with fabrication from drawings and welding.
• Current C Class driver's license and Senior First Aid.
• CN Franna crane ticket desirable; other tickets like confined space, heights, EWP, forklift, dogging desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop site safety structures and JHA/Take 5 preparation.
• Participate in SOP reviews.
• Regular maintenance on crushing circuit (Jaw, cones, screens, conveyors).
• Maintain crushing and milling circuit equipment.
• Chute inspections and wear-problem solving.
• Fabricate plant components from drawings to high quality.
• Read/understand drawings and comply with Australian Standards.
• Crane driving and rigging operations.
• Perform scheduled PMs and detailed fault descriptions for corrective tasks.

Join a well established maintenance team as a boilermaker.

Vault Minerals Limited is a leading intermediate gold producer listed on the ASX, with a diversified portfolio of operating assets across Western Australia and Canada. Formerly known as Red 5 Limited, the company rebranded to Vault Minerals in September 2024 to reflect its scale, strength, and growth ambitions.

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Boilermaker will be responsible for carrying out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance to mechanical equipment in the processing plant, borefields and site infrastructure, along with onsite fabrication of chutes, structural components and small projects.

This position will be offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Developing and working within site safety structures.
• Preparation of JHA's and Take 5's prior to commencing tasks.
• Participating in scheduled reviews of current SOP's.
• Regular maintenance on our crushing circuit which includes Jaw crusher, secondary & tertiary cone crushers, as well as screens and conveyors.
• Regular maintenance of the crushing and milling circuit equipment.
• Chute inspection PMs.
• Provide suggestions for problem-solving of high wear areas found in chutes.
• Fabrication of general plant components to a high level of skill.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• Understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
• Crane Driving and Rigging operations.
• Conducting regular scheduled PM tasks and completing detailed fault descriptions for corrective maintenance tasks to be developed.

About You

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Boilermaker)
• 3+ years post apprenticeship mine site experience would be desirable
• Experience in using Pronto maintenance systems
• Boilermaking experience in a mineral processing plant, including extensive hands‑on experience with fabrication from drawings, MIG, TIG and ARC welding repairs, manufacturing of wear plates, maintenance on jaw and cone crusher circuits and equipment
• A proven commitment to safety
• CN Franna crane ticket would be desirable
• Confined space, Work at heights, EWP, Forklift & Dogging tickets are desirable
• Hold a current C Class driver's license and Senior First Aid Certificate
