Job summary

Redpath Mining in Lake Cowal Mine is seeking an Underground Bogger Operator to join a safety-focused underground team. The role involves operating bogger/LHD equipment, supporting development and production activities, and reporting to the Shift Boss.

You will perform pre-start inspections, maintain high safety standards, and work closely with Jumbo Operators, Charge-Up Crew and Supervisors to keep ore and waste moving efficiently in a production environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Shift Boss, you will play an important role in supporting underground development and production activities through the safe and efficient operation of Load Haul Dump (LHD) equipment. Working as part of a professional and safety-focused underground mining team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, productivity and equipment care.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Safely and efficiently operating underground boggers/LHD equipment
• Loading, hauling and dumping ore and waste from production and development headings
• Maintaining high standards of workplace housekeeping and effective stockpile management
• Completing thorough pre-start inspections and promptly identifying and reporting equipment defects or maintenance requirements
• Working collaboratively with Jumbo Operators, Charge-Up Crew, Shift Supervisors and other underground personnel
• Following all site safety requirements, operational procedures and established mining practices
• Supporting a strong team culture through effective communication, cooperation and a professional approach
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity and operational performance

Working within a unique mining operation at Cowal, you will join a highly safety-focused team of professionals and utilise your skills and experience as an Underground Bogger Operator.

To Be Considered For This Opportunity, You Will Require

• Previous underground mining experience as a Bogger Operator is essential
• Demonstrated competency operating Sandvik and/or CAT underground loaders
• Current Manual Driver’s License
• A positive outlook with the aspiration to achieve high standards and take pride in your work
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence
• Ability to work effectively in a production focused mining environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision making skills
• A proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety, productivity and equipment care

Highly Regarded

• Experience in hard rock underground gold mining
• Integrated Tool Carrier (IT) experience
• Other underground operating skills and competencies
