Job summary

Schneider Electric in Sydney seeks a Building Management System (BMS) Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and optimise BMS equipment across commercial sites. You will diagnose faults, program control logic, and ensure projects meet safety and performance standards.

You will provide customer training, support, and documentation while delivering service within budget and timelines. A strong fault-finding ability with networking knowledge is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with Building Management Systems, building automation, controls and HVAC.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
• Knowledge of networking hardware and IT infrastructure (switches, routers, protocols).
• Electrical, mechanical HVAC, controls or instrumentation qualifications are valued.
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and commission BMS equipment and networking devices.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults and performance issues.
• Develop and modify control logic and system programming.
• Configure and integrate BMS within building projects.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Recommend energy efficiency improvements to customers.
• Provide technical support and customer training on BMS operation.
• Manage service requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain service documentation and reports.
• Deliver service outcomes within budget and timeframes.
• Ensure safety compliance for Schneider Electric and customers.
• Participate in on-call roster with applicable allowances.
