Lifeblood is seeking a Scientific Analyst to analyse epidemiology of infectious diseases relevant to blood safety and to contribute to evidence-based donor and product safety policies. The role involves risk assessment, modelling, and collaboration across divisions within Lifeblood to support safety standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a biomedical science degree with postgraduate research experience or equivalent, strong analytic skills, and a track record of publications.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualification in biomedical science
• Postgraduate qualification (Honours or higher) or equivalent research experience
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech
• Experience in health-based risk or cost-effectiveness modelling
• Operational knowledge of the blood sector and transfusion-transmissible diseases
• Experience in infectious disease surveillance
• Experience in data analysis with SPSS, STATA or R
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals

Aufgaben

• Analyse epidemiology of infectious diseases relevant to blood safety and inform donor and product safety policies
• Contribute to risk assessment and quantitative modelling activities
• Support evidence-based donor and product safety policies and strategies
• Collaborate within the Donor and Product Safety Policy Unit and other Lifeblood divisions
• Provide research expertise to inform decision-making for policies and strategies
