Job summary

Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is seeking a Senior Technician (Testing) in Melbourne to lead the Testing team, ensuring safe provision of blood, plasma and biologicals. You will monitor production, maintain standard work procedures and train team members.

You will oversee SOP compliance, correct deviations, and support continuous improvement through Lean and RIE initiatives while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in providing workplace training and coaching to team members.
• Ability to perform standardised work processes within the Testing team within established procedures and timeframes.
• Commitment to quality systems, quality control measures and application.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the Testing team's compliance with SOPs.
• Correcting deviations from standard work practices or the work schedule.
• Perform sample investigations and routine screening tests within defined timeframes.
• Reviewing and approving results of routine screening and escalating anomalies.
