Job summary

WE Platt in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a Blaster Painter to join our surface preparation and coating team. The role involves abrasive blasting, surface prep and spray painting of components to meet quality standards and safety requirements.

You will work Monday to Friday dayshift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with weekly pay and opportunities for career development. Minimum 2 years in similar role preferred; certificates in surface prep or painting are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Blaster/Painter or similar role.
• Knowledge in paint preparation and application technique.
• Certificate III qualifications are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting of components and equipment.
• Prepare surface through sanding, masking, cleaning and priming.
• Mix and apply primers, base coats and top coats.
• Operate spray painting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct quality inspections and touch up as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work station.
• Assist and support other team when required.
• Comply with Company policies and procedures.

• Perform abrasive blasting of components and equipment.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application is preferred but not essential.
• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to details and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable and strong work ethics.
