Qualifications
- At least 3 years of industrial blasting and painting experience.
- Experience working in an industrial workshop environment.
- Knowledge of recognized surface preparation and blasting standards.
- Experience with Sa2.5 and Sa3 blasting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of protective industrial coating products.
- Ability to work long shifts, including weekends when required.
Responsibilities
- Carry out abrasive blasting and surface preparation in accordance with project specifications.
- Achieve Sa2.5 and Sa3 blasting standards where required.
- Prepare substrates before painting and coating applications.
- Apply industrial primers, epoxies and polyurethane coatings.
- Use conventional and airless spray equipment safely and effectively.
- Measure and control coating thickness using appropriate gauges.
- Follow coating procedures, quality requirements and inspection processes.
- Maintain blast room equipment and work areas.
