Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU seeks experienced Blaster Painters to join its Western Australia operations on a full-time basis. You will perform abrasive blasting, surface prep, and apply epoxy/urethane coatings on industrial projects using professional equipment.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years blasting experience, a solid track record in industrial coatings, and a strong safety mindset. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates; expect occasional night/weekend shifts with

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of practical abrasive blasting experience.
  • Experience in industrial blasting and protective coatings.
  • Previous experience applying industrial paint and coatings systems.
  • Sound knowledge of surface preparation methods and coating techniques.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding industrial work.
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out abrasive blasting and surface preparation to specified standards.
  • Prepare industrial surfaces before protective coating application.
  • Apply epoxy, urethane and other industrial protective coating systems.
  • Operate blast pots, compressors, spray equipment and related tools.
  • Monitor coating application to ensure a consistent finish and quality.
  • Inspect prepared surfaces and completed coatings.
  • Clean, maintain and safely operate blasting and painting equipment.
  • Complete assigned projects efficiently and within required timeframes.
  • Work safely in accordance with workplace procedures and Australian Standards.
  • Identify and report equipment, safety or quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Work effectively with supervisors, tradespeople and other team members.
  • Occasionally work nights and weekends with penalty rates.
