SMW Drilling Services Pty Ltd in Mackay, Central Queensland, is hiring experienced Open-Cut Blasthole Drill Rig Operators for permanent full-time roles. You will join a high-performing team, with a 7/7 roster and DIDO facilities, in a supported, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous blasthole drilling experience in open-cut mining environments.
• Experience operating Reedrill SK Series drill platforms is highly regarded.
• Current QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme medical clearance is required, including drug/alcohol screening.
• C Class Driver Licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate open-cut blasthole drills at a Mackay region mining operation.
• Maintain drill rig performance and participate in equipment upkeep.
• Work safely and collaboratively with the crew to achieve targets.

SMW Drilling Services is seeking experienced Open-Cut Blasthole Drill Rig Operators to join our operations in the Mackay Region of Central Queensland.

We are offering permanent full-time employment from commencement, with long-term opportunities for the right people to establish themselves within a growing and well-established drilling business.

Blasthole Driller Requirements

• Previous blasthole drilling experience within an open-cut mining environment

• Experience operating Reedrill SK Series drill platforms highly regarded

• Previous experience on similar large rotary blasthole drills will also be considered

• Ability to successfully complete a QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme medical, including drug and alcohol screening

• Current C Class Driver Licence

• Mechanically minded, with basic maintenance and fault-finding capability considered an advantage
