Job summary

Impact Drill & Blast is expanding its South Queensland team, offering full-time blast crew roles based near Toowoomba with overnight travel possible. You will be responsible for blast-site duties, safety, and collaborating with shotfirers and supervisors.

The successful candidate will have a manual driver license, be physically fit, and pass pre-employment checks including medical and drug/alcohol assessment; mining or quarry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Australian Open Class manual driver's license.
• Proficiency in using computers and operating systems.
• Physical agility to undertake extended periods of walking, carrying and bending.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness and ability to pass a national police check.
• Successful completion of a medical and Drug & Alcohol assessment.
• Desirable experience in the quarry or mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Engage in physically demanding work.
• Establish exclusion zones with appropriate signage.
• Follow all instructions on the blast site from the shotfirer and/or supervisor.
• Ensure site and equipment cleanliness.
• Uphold Impact's safety culture and standards in the designated area.
• Perform any other duties as required by a supervisor/manager from time to time.
