Job summary

Austek Roads is seeking a Bitumen Tanker Driver to join our ACT-based team in Hume. You will operate heavy vehicles, conduct pre-start checks, and support asphalt surfacing and civil projects with a focus on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates hold HC and Dangerous Goods licences, have experience with asphalt paving equipment, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. We offer a supportive, rewarding environment in a growing company.

Austek Roads is expanding its services into ACT and we’re looking for a Bitumen Tanker Driver to join our dynamic team based in Hume, ACT. We deliver high-quality asphalt surfacing, patching, and civil projects across the ACT and surrounding regions, with a strong reputation for reliability, performance, and customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operating heavy vehicles, plant & equipment
• Safely carry out labouring duties
• Conduct Pre-Start checks prior to operating any trucks, plant or equipment; reporting anybreakdowns or urgent issues immediately
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Ensuring a high quality of service, work and workmanship at all times

What we're looking for

• Current holder of a HC (Heavy Combination) heavy vehicle drivers licence
• Current holder of a Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence
• Ability to operate various types of equipment that may include but not limited to light vehicles, cars, loaders, rollers and specific Asphalt Paving equipment
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training
