Job summary

Austek Roads, based in Hume ACT, seeks a Bitumen Tanker Driver to join its expanding team. You will operate heavy vehicles and equipment, perform pre-start checks, and support Labouring duties while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role is rooted in delivering reliable asphalt surfacing and patching across the ACT region. Applicants must hold a HC licence and a Dangerous Goods licence, with experience in road surfacing equipment and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) licence.
• Current Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence.
• Ability to operate road surfacing equipment and trucks.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Silica and asbestos awareness training.

Austek Roads is expanding its services into ACT and we’re looking for a Bitumen Tanker Driver to join our dynamic team based in Hume, ACT. We deliver high-quality asphalt surfacing, patching, and civil projects across the ACT and surrounding regions, with a strong reputation for reliability, performance, and customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operating heavy vehicles, plant & equipment
• Safely carry out labouring duties
• Conduct Pre-Start checks prior to operating any trucks, plant or equipment; reporting any breakdowns or urgent issues immediately
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Ensuring a high quality of service, work and workmanship at all times

What we're looking for

• Current holder of a HC (Heavy Combination) heavy vehicle drivers licence
• Current holder of a Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence
• Ability to operate various types of equipment that may include but not limited to light vehicles, cars, loaders, rollers and specific Asphalt Paving equipment
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training
