Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a dedicated technical services professional to support the operation of electronic and mechanical health technology equipment. You will apply established methods to install, maintain and develop health tech, while working under guidance on more complex tasks.

You will contribute to a collaborative team, mentor students and junior practitioners, and uphold quality management, safety and continuous improvement in a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic or mechanical health technology equipment.
• Ability to perform routine tasks using established methods and procedures.
• Willingness to mentor students and junior staff.

Job description

To be an integral member of a team delivering technical services, including repairs, planned maintenance, and technology support, to ensure the safe, reliable, and effective operation of electronic and mechanical health technology equipment and systems.

Role fit

The essential requirements for this role are:

• Knowledge and experience in electronic and/or mechanical technologies, general engineering and other technologies associated with health technology equipment.
• Ability to apply established methods and procedures in completing routine technical tasks (such as the installation, maintenance and development of health technology or similar equipment) as well as ability to complete more complex tasks under the guidance of more experienced practitioners.
• Willingness to provide guidance and support to students and less experienced practitioners.
• High level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders/clients under the direction of more senior practitioners.
• Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
• Honesty, integrity and respect for all staff, clients and other health care workers.
