Job summary

ADP Consulting in Brisbane seeks a seasoned BIM Lead to drive structural BIM across complex projects and shape Brisbane’s BIM standard. You will manage federated models, coordinate disciplines and ensure ISO 19650 compliance.

You’ll own practice standards, templates and workflows, mentor BIM Designers and collaborate with engineers, architects and clients, in a growing multidisciplinary environment aligned with ADP’s global network.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of structural BIM experience in consulting or design.
• Proficient in Revit for structural modelling.

BIM Lead | Structural (Brisbane)

We are growing our structural engineering team and looking for a BIM Lead | Structural to join us in Brisbane. This is a dual-accountability role: you will lead structural BIM delivery across complex projects while also taking ownership of the practice standards, templates and workflows the Brisbane team uses. You will be the person who sets the standard and then models it on the projects that matter.

What is your role?

At the project level, you will lead structural BIM delivery on complex projects across sectors including aviation, data centres and health. You will manage federated models, coordinate across disciplines, lead clash detection processes and ensure model quality and compliance with project BIM requirements from concept through to construction. You will be the primary BIM contact on the projects you lead, working directly with structural engineers, architects and other discipline teams.

At the practice level, you will own the structural BIM standards, templates and workflows for the Brisbane office. You will drive consistency, quality and efficiency across the team, keep the practice aligned with ISO 19650 requirements, mentor BIM Designers, and play an active role in how ADP continues to develop its structural BIM capability across the business.

About You

• You are an experienced structural BIM professional who is comfortable operating at both the project delivery level and the practice standards level. You take model quality seriously, you know what good looks like in a federated environment, and you are ready for a role where you are the one who defines the benchmark rather than working to someone else's.
• You have 6 or more years of experience in structural BIM within a consulting or design environment, with a strong track record delivering on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• You are highly proficient in Revit for structural modelling and have practical experience managing federated models, running coordination and clash detection processes, and working within a BIM 360 or similar CDE environment.
• You have experience setting or maintaining BIM standards, templates and workflows at a practice or project level, and you understand what ISO 19650 compliance means in practice, not just in theory.
• You have a solid understanding of structural engineering systems and how they are represented and coordinated in a BIM model, sufficient to work closely and credibly with structural engineers on complex projects.
• You are comfortable in client-facing settings, contributing to coordination meetings and representing the BIM function clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Navisworks, Revizto or similar coordination tools is expected. Familiarity with Dynamo or other automation tools is a bonus.
