Job summary

Stantec in Perth is seeking a motivated BIM Cadet to join the Mechanical team. You will gain hands-on experience in Revit modelling, drafting and building services design while supporting senior team members on diverse projects.

This entry-level role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to develop BIM workflows, problem-solving abilities and collaboration skills within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience.
• Foundational understanding of Revit modelling, drafting and building design coordination.
• Exposure to building services / MEP design or contracting is advantageous.
• Interest in mechanical building services and BIM workflows.
• Willingness to develop skills across Revit, BIM and digital design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and documentation using Revit while developing BIM skills.
• Support BIM modelling, drafting and coordination across building services projects.
• Assist Engineers and BIM team members with project documentation and detailing.
• Undertake modelling and drafting tasks within project timeframes under senior guidance.
• Support multi-discipline design coordination and resolve modelling issues.
• Assist with computational design activities, including coding and automation where appropriate.
• Develop technical capability across Revit, BIM processes and building services design.
• Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
