Job summary

MEPTEC Engineers in Underwood, Brisbane is seeking an AutoCAD & Revit Mechanical Modeller to join our growing team. You will work directly with the Senior Mechanical Engineer on mechanical services designs and documentation for diverse projects across Australia.

Develop 2D drawings and 3D models, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure timely delivery. Strong Revit MEP experience and understanding of Australian HVAC systems are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of Australian work experience in mechanical services drafting or BIM modelling.
• Strong experience using Autodesk Revit MEP, particularly mechanical services.
• Good understanding of Australian HVAC systems and mechanical services installations.

Responsibilities

• Developing 2D AutoCAD drawings & 3D Revit models for HVAC and mechanical services systems.
• Preparing mechanical services layouts, drawings, sections and details.
• Modelling ductwork, pipework, mechanical equipment and associated services.
• Coordinating mechanical services with architectural, structural and other building services disciplines.
• Working closely with our Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop designs from concept through to construction documentation.
• Updating drawings based on engineering markups and design changes.
• Assisting with BIM coordination and resolving clashes.
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, coordinated and issued on time.

MEPTEC Engineers is looking for an experienced AutoCAD / Revit Mechanical Modeller to join our team based in Underwood, Brisbane.

We're a growing building services engineering consultancy working on a wide range of commercial, residential, hospitality, education and industrial projects across Australia.

We're looking for someone who's confident using AutoCAD & Revit, understands Australian building services projects and enjoys working alongside engineers to deliver quality designs.

About the Role

You'll work directly under and report to our Senior Mechanical Engineer, helping deliver mechanical services designs and documentation across a variety of projects.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Developing 2D AutoCAD drawings & 3D Revit models for HVAC and mechanical services systems.
• Preparing mechanical services layouts, drawings, sections and details.

What We're Looking For

We're after someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of their drafting work and communicate well with the engineering team.

Essential requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of Australian work experience in mechanical services drafting or BIM modelling.
• Strong experience using Autodesk Revit MEP, particularly mechanical services.
• Good understanding of Australian HVAC systems and mechanical services installations.
• Experience preparing mechanical services drawings for Australian construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and engineering markups.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Must have full Australian working rights and must be located in Brisbane.

Experience with AutoCAD 3D, CamDuct, Navisworks and multidisciplinary BIM coordination would be a bonus.
