Job summary

SACYR in Melbourne is seeking a Bid Project Manager to lead the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract award, coordinating engineering, commercial, legal and finance teams to deliver compelling submissions.

You will shape bid strategies, analyse tender documents, manage timelines and mitigate risks, engaging partners and clients to secure favourable outcomes while ensuring a smooth handover to execution teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (10-15 years) in bid management, project management, or similar roles in infrastructure, engineering, or construction environments.
• Strong understanding of tendering processes and contract management.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
• Experience in international or multicultural environments is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission and contract award.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, commercial, legal, finance) to ensure high-quality bid submissions.
• Define and implement bid strategies aligned with company objectives and client requirements.
• Analyze tender documentation and ensure full compliance with technical, legal, and commercial conditions.
• Develop competitive technical and financial proposals in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables throughout the bidding process.
• Identify risks and opportunities within each bid and define mitigation or optimization strategies.
• Engage with partners, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to strengthen bid positioning.
• Support negotiations with clients during the evaluation phase.
• Ensure proper handover to execution teams upon successful award of the contract.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes, tools, and methodologies.
