Job summary

Colgate is seeking a Data Analyst for a 12-month contract based in Sydney, with a hybrid model requiring in-office presence. You will own the BI reporting ecosystem across Tableau and Domo, maintain dashboards, and manage data flows to support reliable insights for commercial decision-making.

You will partner with CBS data engineers on data pipelines, data modelling, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and self-service access for stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science).
• Minimum 2 years as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst in a cross-functional, business-facing environment.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with Tableau (dashboards and Tableau Prep Builder) and Domo.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills, with practical experience with Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Proficiency in data analysis using Python or R for reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• BI & Reporting (Tableau & Domo): Build, update, and optimise dashboards and data flows, and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability.
• Data Pipelines & Cloud Infrastructure: Query and prepare data using SQL in Snowflake and BigQuery; manage ingestion via Google Cloud Storage; collaborate on pipeline fixes.
• Business Partnership & Analytics: Translate stakeholder needs into reporting, deliver actionable insights, promote self-service across teams.
• Reliability & Adoption: Maintain accurate dashboard and pipeline operations so reports are trusted for decisions.
• Continuous Improvement: Improve processes, documentation, and data quality, including root cause analysis and sustainable fixes.
• Support for Key Initiatives: Support ANZ commercial projects with insight-led reporting and trend analysis.
