Job summary

National Carbon Bank of Australia in North Sydney is seeking a Technical & Commercial Manager to grow our BESS capability and client offering.

This role blends business development with technical credibility, working with clients on high-value energy projects and turning opportunities into commercial outcomes. You will lead cross-functional teams and shape NCBA's evolving services with a strong emphasis on delivering practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant industry experience within energy/engineering/manufacturing or related sectors.
• Strong technical and practical experience across commercial energy projects, with BESS experience highly regarded.
• Ability to assess complex projects, identify technical and compliance risks and exercise sound professional judgement.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across BESS and other energy technologies.
• Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, industry partners and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical credibility during client and commercial discussions.
• Offer practical technical guidance across high-value and strategically important projects.
• Assess technical, eligibility and compliance risks and provide practical recommendations for decisions.
• Support delivery of key client projects in collaboration with Operations and internal teams.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and potential new NCBA services.
