Job summary
BYD Australia is seeking a motivated BESS Sales Specialist to drive growth in the utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System market across Australia and New Zealand. You will collaborate with sales leaders, engineers, project delivery, and service teams to build strong customer relationships and lead tender activities.
The role offers exposure to large-scale energy storage projects, opportunities to work with leading utilities and developers, and a clear path for technical and commercial
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Commerce, or related discipline.
- 2–5 years in sales, business development, project coordination, or related roles in renewable energy or electrical sectors.
- Experience with BESS, solar, wind, or transmission projects is valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand BESS market.
- Build and maintain relationships with utilities, developers, EPCs, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare commercial presentations and proposals; assist with RFIs/RFPs and tender processes.
- Collaborate with engineers to craft customer-focused solutions; coordinate internally across teams.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines, and CRM records; monitor market trends.
