Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Sydney is seeking a friendly bell desk/portering professional to assist arriving and departing guests with luggage, escort guests to rooms, and ensure smooth transportation and storage of bags. You will also help guests navigate the hotel and its services, contributing to a luxurious guest experience.

Strong knowledge of Sydney, a valid driver’s license, and experience in a five-star hotel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Sydney and surrounding areas.
• Friendly and outgoing personality suitable for guest services.
• Valid Driver’s License, manual drive preferred.
• Previous experience in a five-star hotel is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Verifies arrival and departure details and arranges luggage handling and transportation for guests.
• Directs guests to hotel facilities and escorts them to rooms, explaining amenities.
• Transports luggage to and from rooms and manages luggage storage and security.
• Directs traffic in hotel driveways and stays informed about hotel services and promotions.

About the role

• Verifies arrival and departure details and arranges luggage handling and transportation and other services requested by guests.
• Directs guests and visitors to any of the Hotel’s facilities.
• Escorts guests to their rooms, explaining all in house and room facilities.
• To transport guest’s luggage to and from the guest’s room on arrival and departure.
• Ensures vehicle's license number, type are logged down on the luggage tags for future reference.
• Assists all guests with luggage storage, ensuring the proper handling, storage, security and procedures are followed; transports guest’s luggage to their room in an efficient manner.
• Assists to direct traffic in the hotel’s driveway
• Be familiar with the hotel’s products and services and policies; be aware of all functions and promotions held in the hotel.
