Job summary

Community Solutions Apprenticeship and Traineeship Vacancies – Preston VIC is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead a team and ensure high-quality supports under the NDIS.

Reporting to the Behaviour Support Practice Lead, you will mentor practitioners, review positive behaviour support plans, and drive reflective practice while meeting regulatory requirements and delivering strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Psychology, Social Work, Developmental Education or Counselling.
• Experience mentoring behaviour support practitioners.
• Understanding of NDIS Commission requirements and state rules.
• Endorsement as Proficient or Advanced Practitioner.
• Strong administration and computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Guiding and coaching practitioners and reviewing positive behaviour support plans with support from your Practice Lead.
• Encouraging a team-oriented approach to reflective practice and evaluation of service delivery.
• Monitoring your team’s goals and objectives and participating in annual performance reviews.
• Working closely with the team to meet output targets while maintaining best practice and stakeholder relationships.
• Developing partnerships with service providers, community agencies and government bodies to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Providing professional information and advice to people with disability, families, staff and managers on evidence-based approaches.
