About the role
As aBehaviour Support Specialist (known internally as a Therapeutic Specialist), you will coordinate and deliver high-quality assessment, consultive and referral services to support the development for Children & Young People in our care have backgrounds of complex trauma, abuse and/or neglect, and in some cases physical and/or psychosocial disabilities requiring support.
You will also deliver specialist support to our care teams through therapeutic supervision, practice support and leading reflective practice sessions.
This permanent Full-Time opportunity. We offer flexible hybrid working arrangements. We recognise that out of work commitments vary greatly, therefore the balance between work and office can be negotiated with the successful applicant. We can also offer flexible start and finish times. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the Western region, however, there is a requirement to conduct home visits in Dubbo once per month. Mileage will be reimbursed.
We welcome applications from candidates who have a background in behaviour support along with psychology, social work or mental health nursing training.
