Job summary

ChatAbout is seeking a registered Psychologist or Social Worker to join our Casula-based team as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. The role offers flexibility and a clear pathway toward leadership, with responsibilities including FBAs and tailored Behaviour Support Plans for NDIS participants.

You will train families, teachers and care teams, collaborate with Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, and ensure delivery aligns with NDIS Quality and Safeguards guidelines while pursuing

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Psychologist (AHPRA) or eligible/registered Social Worker (AASW).
• Proficient in conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs).
• Experience writing Behaviour Support Plans tailored to NDIS participants.
• Strong relationship-building with families, schools and care teams.
• Interest in stability, career progression, and leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) as part of person-centred planning.
• Design, implement, and review Behaviour Support Plans for NDIS participants.
• Deliver training to parents, teachers and support teams to ensure strategy consistency across home, school and community.

Job description

We are looking for a registered Psychologist or Social Worker to step into a uniquely rewarding, flexible role as a Behaviour Support Practitioner in the Casula area, working alongside our allied health team to provide a holistic, comprehensive approach to client care. This is a growth opportunity that can evolve into a Leadership/Management position, and the possibility to manage a Behaviour Support team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)
• Design, implement, and review comprehensive, evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans tailored to NDIS participants
• Deliver dynamic parent, teacher, and support team training to ensure strategies are integrated across home, school, and community settings
• Collaborate closely with our Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to provide holistic, multidisciplinary care
• Ensure all behaviour support delivery complies with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines and frameworks

About you

• A qualified and registered Psychologist (AHPRA registered) OR a qualified Social Worker (AASW eligible/registered)
• Must be registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at a Proficient level (or higher)
• Demonstrated experience conducting assessments and writing Behaviour Support Plans
