Job summary

Avina is a national allied health and behaviour support community seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner registered with the NDIS Commission at Core level or above to join our team across Inner Sydney.

This fully mobile role allows you to work across Marrickville, Ashfield, Bankstown, Canterbury and surrounding suburbs, managing your own schedule while staying connected to Avina’s broader Behaviour Support and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner at Core level or above.
• Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS.
• Ability to complete functional behaviour assessments and Behaviour Support Plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full Australian working rights.

New name, familiar faces. Avina might be a new name, but you may already know some of our teams. Therapy Pro, Adaptability Therapy and Tashacare have come together as Avina — one national allied health and behaviour support community with 400+ clinicians across NSW, QLD, VIC and SA.

We deliver Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics and Positive Behaviour Support across community, clinic and telehealth settings.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who is currently registered with the NDIS Commission at Core level or above to join our team across Inner Sydney.

This is a fully mobile role, with flexibility to work across Marrickville, Ashfield, Bankstown, Canterbury and surrounding suburbs. You’ll manage your own schedule and work directly with participants in their homes and community environments, while staying connected to Avina’s broader Behaviour Support and multidisciplinary teams.

A quick note before you apply: For this particular vacancy, we’re looking for practitioners who already hold Core, Proficient, Advanced or Specialist practitioner status with the NDIS Commission. Unfortunately, we’re not able to consider entry-level or IBIS practitioners for this role.

What You’ll Bring

• Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability at Core level or above
• Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS
• Confidence completing functional behaviour assessments and Behaviour Support Plans
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work autonomously while staying connected to a broader team
• Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
• Full Australian working rights
