Job summary

NightOwl Entertainment Group seeks a confident Duty Manager to support the Venue Manager in Scarborough, WA. Lead a fast-paced team, coach staff, and ensure high service standards across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leader with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Duty Manager or supervisor roles within a busy hospitality environment.
• Initiative and sound judgement; able to take ownership and decisions as needed.
• Organisational skills to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced venue.
• Passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Current WA RSA and Approved Manager certification, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop team members to build confidence, capability and consistency.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by setting the standard for friendly and attentive hospitality.
• Drive operational performance through strong floor leadership and hands-on approach.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, RSA, and venue procedures.
• Lead the team through busy services, resolve guest concerns and make confident decisions under pressure.
• Maintain venue presentation, cleanliness and service standards across all areas.
• Manage shift operations, including opening/closing, cash handling and daily reporting.
• Support the Venue Manager with team performance, rostering and implementation of operational initiatives.
