Job summary

Aquavue Beachfront Bar & Eatery in Hervey Bay is seeking a Front of House Supervisor with high-level barista experience to lead our coffee operation and FOH standards. You will guide a team, train staff and ensure exceptional coffee quality while maintaining venue presentation.

The role focuses on leadership, coaching and high standards across busy service periods, with full-time hours and a beachfront workplace environment that values teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Strong, demonstrated specialty or high-volume coffee experience.
• Able to confidently operate a busy coffee machine while maintaining quality.
• Previous supervisory, leadership or senior hospitality experience.
• Understanding of coffee extraction, milk texture, workflow and equipment care.
• Enjoys teaching and developing others.
• Maintains high standards for cleanliness, organisation and presentation.
• Communicates clearly and professionally.
• Reliable, proactive and able to take responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example during busy café and service periods.
• Produce consistently high-quality coffee at speed.
• Help oversee and develop our coffee operation.
• Train, coach and support baristas and junior team members.
• Maintain coffee recipes, procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor coffee consistency, workflow and presentation.
• Support the FOH Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Help maintain high standards of cleanliness and venue presentation.
• Ensure procedures, food safety and operational standards are followed.
• Identify areas for improvement and help implement better systems.
• Support a positive, respectful and accountable team culture.
• Step into a supervisory role during shifts and provide direction when required.
