Job summary

Aquavue Beachfront Bar & Eatery is seeking two experienced Chefs or Cooks for full-time roles at our beachfront Torquay, Hervey Bay kitchen. Expect day and early evening shifts, with no late-night finishes, in a fast-paced but supportive team environment.

We value reliability, dedication and a proactive approach to menu execution, kitchen cleanliness and food safety. Immediate starts available as we build a long-term team in a growing local business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Chef or experienced Cook.
• Experience in a busy cafe, restaurant, pub or similar high-volume environment.
• Confidence working under pressure.
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
• Good attention to detail and presentation.
• The ability to communicate and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking menu items to Aquavue’s standards.
• Maintaining consistency, presentation and portion control.
• Managing your section confidently during busy services.
• Completing food preparation efficiently and accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen.
• Following food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
• Supporting your fellow kitchen team during busy periods.
• Assisting with stock rotation, preparation and kitchen organisation.
• Contributing ideas and helping us continually improve our food offering.
• Taking ownership of your role and helping maintain a strong team environment.
