Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Battlespace System Administrator to support the Battlespace Surveillance Centre at RAAF Edinburgh. You will operate across Windows, Linux and Unix, manage services, handle backups, security and incident response.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or degree in Computer Science, IT, or engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• UNIX/Linux and Microsoft administration experience.
• Experience monitoring a complex IT environment.
• Experience diagnosing networking faults.
• Eligible for NV2 security clearance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical operations for BSC IT server and comms per standards.
• Manage system accounts and ensure staff have current information.
• Contribute to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.
• Monitor system performance and capacity.
• Manage OS, firmware, and software updates and security patches.
• Perform system and network configuration maintenance.
• Manage backups and recovery protocols.
• Install and manage firewalls and IDS.
• Coordinate with depot maintenance actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues with maintainers.
