Job summary

Boeing Brisbane seeks a network and systems administration professional to maintain and enhance the Software Development Environment for the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) program. You will contribute to deployments, infrastructure automation, and collaboration with DevOps and software engineers in an agile setting.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship is required for defence security.
• Knowledge of Linux OS, system administration, virtualization and networking/IP stack essential.
• Experience with CISCO/Junos/ Palo Alto networking gear and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Libvirt).
• Proficiency with Python, Ansible, Bash, Go preferred.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, GitLab).
• Strong documentation, agile mindset and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux systems administration tasks including user accounts, provisioning, inventory, monitoring, and triage.
• Plan, implement, maintain, and monitor a complex networking environment.
• Create and maintain infrastructure and software development environment documentation.
• Deploy software to the Systems Integration Facility.
• Engage with stakeholders and engineers to improve the software development environment.
• Conduct ad-hoc testing within the Systems Integration Facility.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code and automation.
• Participate in agile hardware/software development lifecycle and code reviews.
