BCS is a next generation networking product that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The BCS combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for users. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs. We have a range of opportunities available as we plan for future growth. This role will engage you to apply your current skills and knowledge to contribute to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Software Development Environment and deployment of software to the Systems Integration Facility within the BCS. Responsibilities
Desirable: Bachelor\'s Degree in a relevant Engineering or Information Technology discipline, or equivalent industry experience Experience within defence or complex engineering project environments is desirable Experience with administering commercial networking products such as CISCO, Juniper, Palo Alto Knowledge of or experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, KVM and Libvirt Knowledge of or experience with software languages such as Python, Ansible, Bash, Go are highly desirable Knowledge of or experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket Knowledge of or experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Gitlab An ability to develop and maintain documentation and reports related to managing IT systems and network topologies Sound knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle with an agile mindset A high level of organizational and time management skills Well organised with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication and documentation capabilities
