Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Software Engineer to support development and automation of digital test, integration and verification environments for the MQ-28 program. The Brisbane-based role reports to the MQ-28 Digital Model Ecosystem Engineering Manager and requires Australian citizenship and NV1 clearance eligibility.

Applicants should have 2+ years in industry with autonomous systems or related fields, experience with Python and Linux, and familiarity with Agile software development

Qualifications

• 2+ years industry experience in autonomous systems, robotics or related applications.
• Experience with messaging protocols, data exchange, data analysis and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with software test and evaluation.
• Defence software experience desirable.
• Tertiary qualifications in relevant engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate digital test, integration and verification environments.
• Iterate faster and deploy new capability to the aircraft.
• Produce clear, technical artefacts (code, documentation and test plans) for cross-functional review.
• Follow security and maintainability best practices.
