Job summary

PETstock Geelong Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Groomer to deliver outstanding grooming services and support our Senior Groomer. You will bathe and brush dogs, manage customer bookings, and assist on the shop floor with exceptional service.

Qualifications

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service.
• Confident being around animals as you will work with dogs.
• Motivated to take the next step in your grooming career and learn.
• A relevant grooming qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in a similar environment.
• Dog customers come in all shapes, sizes and weights; you must be able to handle them safely.
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers and team.
• Physically fit; ability to lift dogs/products up to 20kg.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding grooming services.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide outstanding grooming services
• Support the Senior Groomer in completing daily grooming tasks
• Bathe and brush dogs prior to grooming
• Assist store shop floor team when required, providing exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Assist with the coordination of customer bookings in the grooming salon
• Ensure the appropriate handling and safe transfer of animals within the store
• Work with the team to achieve and exceed set sales goals
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

Qualifications

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service
• Confident being around animals as you will be exposed to dogs with lots of different personalities
• Motivated to take that next step in your career and willing to work hard to become the best Groomer you can be
• A relevant qualification is preferred but not essential - as long as you bring a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn!
• Experience in a similar environment
• Our dog customers come in all shapes, sizes and weight, so you will need to be physically fit and have a good understanding of dog behaviours to ensure all interactions are safe for you and your customers
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products and animals up to 20kgs
• Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
