Job summary

Petstock Angle Vale is seeking a dedicated Groomer to join our NEW STORE team. You will provide grooming services, assist with bookings, and support the shop floor with exceptional customer care.

We value animal lovers who can work weekends, stay physically active, and grow their grooming skills while helping us hit sales goals and maintain a safe store environment.

Qualifications

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service.
• Confident around dogs with different personalities.
• Motivated to grow in grooming and take the next step in your career.
• Experience in a similar environment is preferred.
• Physically fit to lift and handle animals up to 20kg.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding grooming services.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide outstanding grooming services
• Support the Senior Groomer in completing daily grooming tasks
• Bathe and brush dogs prior to grooming
• Assist store shop floor team when required, providing exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Assist with the coordination of customer bookings in the grooming salon
• Ensure the appropriate handling and safe transfer of animals within the store
• Work with the team to achieve and exceed set sales goals
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

What We're Looking For

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service
• Confident being around animals as you will be exposed to dogs with lots of different personalities
• Motivated to take that next step in your career and willing to work hard to become the best Groomer you can be
• A relevant qualification is preferred but not essential - as long as you bring a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn!
• Experience in a similar environment
• Our dog customers come in all shapes, sizes and weight, so you will need to be physically fit and have a good understanding of dog behaviours to ensure all interactions are safe for you and your customers
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products and animals up to 20kgs
• Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
