Petstock Angle Vale in Adelaide is seeking a motivated groomer to join our NEW STORE. You will provide grooming services, assist the Senior Groomer, and help manage bookings while ensuring safe interactions with dogs and customers.

You will thrive in a pet-loving team, with opportunities to develop grooming skills and contribute to a culture focused on pets, people and the planet. Weekend availability is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service.
• Confident around dogs with varying personalities and sizes.
• Willingness to learn and grow in grooming skills.
• Experience in a similar environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding grooming services.

Our team of pet pampering experts will support you as you hone and develop your grooming skills.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide outstanding grooming services
• Support the Senior Groomer in completing daily grooming tasks
• Bathe and brush dogs prior to grooming
• Assist store shop floor team when required, providing exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Assist with the coordination of customer bookings in the grooming salon
• Ensure the appropriate handling and safe transfer of animals within the store
• Work with the team to achieve and exceed set sales goals
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

Do you have the below experience and looking to take the next step in your career?

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service
• Confident being around animals as you will be exposed to dogs with lots of different personalities
• Motivated to take that next step in your career and willing to work hard to become the best Groomer you can be
• A relevant qualification is preferred but not essential - as long as you bring a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn!
• Experience in a similar environment
• Our dog customers come in all shapes, sizes and weight, so you will need to be physically fit and have a good understanding of dog behaviours to ensure all interactions are safe for you and your customers
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products and animals up to 20kgs
• Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
