Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Batcher/Relief Agitator Driver at our Townsville Concrete Plant. The role combines batching, agitator driving, loader duties, and yard tasks to deliver high-quality concrete to customers.

You'll join a team with a 10-day comprehensive training program, overtime opportunities, and a supportive culture. Vehicle maintenance and safety compliance are emphasized on-site in Townsville, Queensland.

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence.
• Current White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with SAP and Command batching systems, or willingness to learn.
• Experience ordering materials and maintaining stock levels.
• Assist in plant maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
• Strong customer communication skills to represent the business professionally on-site.
• Good computer literacy and ability to follow processes.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Safety-first attitude and commitment to keeping trucks clean and presentable.

Responsibilities

• Batching of pre-mixed concrete and allocating customer jobs.
• Operate front-end loader if ticket/experience permits.
• Perform stock takes and loading/delivering concrete as an agitator driver.
• Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance.
• Yard duties: truck cleaning and site upkeep.
