Job summary

Third Wave BBQ is recruiting for bartenders and waitstaff to launch a new Gold Coast venue. You will be part of the opening team, crafting cocktails and beverages, serving guests, and helping to shape a fast-paced, energetic service culture.

Successful candidates will bring RSA certification, hospitality experience, and a positive attitude to thrive in evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts. Training and onboarding before opening are required.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland RSA certificate.
• At least one year of hospitality experience preferred.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability across evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Availability for pre-opening training and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cocktails, beers and other beverages efficiently.
• Recommend drinks that pair well with our BBQ menu.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar.
• Ensure the responsible service of alcohol.
• Welcome guests and guide them through the menu (Waitstaff).
• Take food and drink orders accurately and deliver promptly.
• Provide attentive and friendly service throughout the guest experience.
• Process orders and payments using our POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the venue.
• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.
• Help establish a positive and professional culture in the new store.

Third Wave BBQ, one of Melbourne’s leading American BBQ restaurants, is coming to the Gold Coast.

Known for smoked meats, great cocktails and a fun, fast-paced atmosphere, we’re building a team for our new Gold Coast store, opening in mid-October. We’re looking for enthusiastic bartenders and waitstaff to join us.

Successful candidates will need to be available for training and onboarding before opening.
