Job summary

Black Ledger Productions on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland is seeking a bartender with real cocktail experience to help bring a 1920s speakeasy to life. You will prepare and serve cocktails quickly, follow the established menu, and work alongside wait staff and the production team.

This casual role requires evenings and weekend shifts, RSA compliance, and a bit of personality to enhance the atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Real cocktail experience required.
• Previous cocktail bar or high-volume hospitality experience.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and spirits.
• Confidence working quickly under pressure.
• Excellent presentation and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving cocktails consistently and efficiently.
• Working from our established cocktail menu and recipes; creating your own spin is welcome.
• Assisting with cocktail batching and bar preparation.
• Beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic service.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and fully stocked bar.

• Following RSA and responsible service requirements.
• Working alongside our wait staff and production team.

Job description

Guests step through the doors into a 1920s speakeasy, with cocktails, characters and live performance all forming part of the experience. We need a bartender who can deliver quality drinks quickly while still bringing some personality behind the bar.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

Preparing and serving cocktails consistently and efficiently

Working from our established cocktail menu and recipes. We are also open to you creating your own spin on things

Assisting with cocktail batching and bar preparation

Beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic service

Maintaining a clean, organised and fully stocked bar

Working efficiently during concentrated pre-show and post-show service periods

Following RSA and responsible service requirements

Working alongside our wait staff and production team

Helping create the atmosphere of a genuine 1920s speakeasy

What We’re Looking For

We’re specifically looking for someone with real cocktail experience.

You’ll ideally have:

Previous cocktail bar or high-volume hospitality experience

Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and spirits

Confidence working quickly under pressure

Excellent presentation and customer service

Reliability — if you’re rostered, we need you there

Ability to work evenings and weekends

Current Queensland RSA

A bit of personality — this is an immersive venue, not a silent service bar

We are also looking for experienced bar staff

Casual employment with rates paid in accordance with the applicable award, classification and penalty rates.
