Sydney-based hospitality group Liquid & Larder is seeking experienced bartenders to join The Rover team in Surry Hills. The role is casual and cross-trainable across venues, with a focus on great guest experiences and a vibrant atmosphere.

Responsibilities include serving drinks to spec, assisting with bar operations, and building relationships with guests. The ideal candidate brings premium venue experience, strong communication, and a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Sydney-based hospitality group Liquid & Larder is on the hunt for experienced, charismatic bartenders to join the team at The Rover.

About the Venue:

A Surry Hills institution, The Rover is a timeless neighbourhood bar known for its charm, conversation, and genuine hospitality. Step inside and you’re greeted like an old friend. The venue hums with energy, serving up creative cocktails, freshly shucked oysters, and the much-loved Gidley Burger. Opening Monday through to Saturday from 4pm daily.

About the Role:

We are offering a casual bartender position that calls for adaptability and a willingness to engage in cross-training across various areas of the venue from hosting, shaking tins, walking guests through our food menu, possibly shucking an oyster or two & showing everyone a great time. The role is a perfect platform for a committed hospitality individual to perform in a small venue where their personality and customer focussed attitude can shine.

And most importantly, you’ll be having a great time doing it!

Your Day-to-Day:

• Deliver food and beverage service in line with venue standards and sequence of service
• Prepare and serve drinks to The Rover's specifications
• Assist with bar set-up, pack-down, and daily operations
