Job summary

EVT Limited in Canberra is looking for a friendly café professional to join our Daymakers crew. You will master espresso drinks, greet guests, take accurate orders, and deliver a warm, memorable experience during weekday mornings from 6:30am to 11am.

Join our hospitality team and contribute to high standards of service across a premium hotel and entertainment network. Previous cafe or hotel experience is valued, with flexibility to rostered hours in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Master the art of espresso while dazzling guests with charm and a friendly experience, from silky flat whites to bold lattes.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, and specialty drinks, following hotel standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and grinders, ensuring cleanliness and optimal performance.
• Monitor brewing time, water temperature, and milk steaming for consistent flavour and presentation.
• Manage inventory of coffee beans and supplies, while adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols in a fast paced environment.

Note: hours for this role are weekdays, Monday to Friday, between 6:30am and 11am.

What you'll bring

• Exceptional customer service skills, including greeting guests warmly, taking accurate orders, and providing tailored recommendations.
• Previous experience preparing and serving coffee in a café, hotel, or hospitality setting..
• Flexibility to work the rostered hours above, and capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
